For all those looking to join a sorority or fraternity, please don't reguard any of the posts or petty "ranks" completely based on looks that you read on here. Don't join any organization just because they are considered better than others. Yes, sororities and fraternities are considered "top/middle/bottom" tier, but that fact should NOT influence your decision at all. No sorority or fraternity is better than another just because they have better looking and/or more wealthy members. Every sorority and fraternity is great, it just all depends on who you are as a person. I'm in my 2nd year in what this university considers a "middle tier" sorority, and I'm having the time of my life. I am not a "top tier", an Alpha Phi, or a Zeta. I don't belong there any more than I would with a "bottom teir" sorority here, NOT because of their "rank", but just because of who I am. I belonged with the girls in my sorority, I felt at home so that's where I wanted to be. I've seen and met and know just as many miserable girls in "top tier" sororities as "bottom tier" sororities. When you choose where you go based on "rank" and not how you feel with those people and how much you connect with what they stand for and their philanthropy, you're setting yourself up to be unhappy. Please girls and guys alike, just find where you fit in, find where you love and where you feel at home with the people around you. When you're where you belong, rank doesn't matter. What matters is that you'll be happy.
