It depends entirely on the chapter/sorority. There is a minimum set by Panhel, but a chapter can have a cutoff above that because of standards set by the chapter or by their National organization. It also depends on the GPA of the other PNMs. If you just met the minimum, but not by much, and you were competing for a spot with other PNMS who had better GPAs, you could get cross-cut for grades easily. If you are close to the line, it's really easy for a chapter to cut you. Being in a sorority is a time committment. If your grades are borderline, it's probably not a good idea to go through recruitment. Time to pledge the library.
