Like a lot of other people have said, DG's sweetheart thing is not for me (and some of the girls in the chapter give me a literal toothache), but I'm not sure you can say they're no one's first choice. Statistically, they've come in 2nd and 3rd/4th for the last two years, which says something given that when I went through recruitment in 2012 DG was definitely no one's first choice and probably rushed 5th. And while it's not worth it to name names, I know through friends that there are girls who are now in four other chapters (including ones in the "golden triangle") who were cut from DG and were really upset about it but eventually found their home somewhere else. I think the way everyone in that chapter talks about it is just chapter personality: they're all super gushy about EVERYTHING and DG itself is no exception. Annoying, sure. Fake, probably not. Besides we all know which chapter at this school is actually super fake.
