shame on all of you guys left in greek life for spreading anxiety inducing rhetoric on here for freshmen. OBVIOUSLY the pandemic has made it hard to find friends. but the whole point of the abolish greek life movement is that financial status and ability to make it past the rigorous rush process required are barriers to low income and POC students. im sure it would be easier to make friends by joining greek life (in fact i know it would) but the sacrifice of not taking the easy (read: financially and racially privileged) route to making friends is what everyone still in greek life is too afraid to consider. if you cant make friends without paying for them, and wont accept that the system you are advocating for literally ruins lives, then consider why your comfort and ease goes above the greater good
