There’s a difference between discussing a single person who is speaking up as representing the entire abolish movement, was one of the few people visibly available on the Zoom call, and has made it a core part of her identity (see: Instagram bio) and discussing in general that people in Greek Life are being harassed and in some cases doxxed by abolitionists. They’ve also been deleting a number of reform posts that do offer the nuanced conversations because it’s not in line with the message they are pushing. I’ve seen plenty of reform people willing to engage in discussion with abolitionists but almost zero abolitionists willing to even consider speaking about what reform would entail. Silencing either side is a pretty f’d up thing to do.
