There are a lot of issues with Greek life, and there’s a lot that can be done for low income students. It is inherently exclusionary to those of a low SES, but it should be allowed on campus anyway. At some point people have to accept that life isn’t fair. They are at this school because of those with a high income. Someone is always going to be more conventionally attractive than you, more talented than you, more athletic than you, smarter than you, and yes even have more money than you. Get over it. Don’t tell other people that they aren’t free to live their life the way they want. No one in Greek Life is trying to institute rules to limit your freedom, yet you are so jealous that you want to take away our rights. At this point, it’s apparent that your goal is no longer equality. Allowing Black frats on campus but not ones open to everyone is oppressive. Trying to tear down the frats and sororities open to everyone because you couldn’t afford it is actually fascist.
