For those of you going through recruitment, keep the following in mind: 1) don't get your heart set on a certain house- give ever house a chance 2) don't be rude- even if the house is not the right fit for you, it may be for a friend or you may end up having girls in your dorm in the house. In other words- be nice. Don't say bad things about houses to others 3) be yourself 4) trust the system- most people end up where they fit in and belong, even if they didn't realize it at first. The only exception to this might be PNMs with bad grades. 5) if your GPA is not at least a 3.0, realize you will get dropped from many houses. This isn't bc the members don't like you or think you'd be a good fit. They don't have a choice. if your grades are bad and you find yourself dropped from the houses you clicked with, you can always work on grades and go through informal 6) keep in mind that sorority life does cost money. Please don't go thorough if you know you can't afford it and haven't discussed costs with your parents. It's not fair for houses to bid girls that know they will have to drop for this reason. That being said, if you are having financial issues, your house most likely has programs or assistance. 7) have fun! Smile! Recruitment is a way to meet other PNMs and members! Many of my first friends at WSU and I ended up bidding different chapters, but that means we now have so many more friends!
