I heard highest was $4k ($2k each semester) for the year freshman most others are all $1500 1st and 500 or 2 2nd As far as hazing- since a house was closed down a few years ago no one hazes. Unless I'm totally missing something. My house is very strict about no hazing. Its not anything to mess with. Not sure about Kappas. That's a weird situation. Seems so unlike this house I'm still kind of just shocked. Really dumb that it made the news as it embarrasses all Greeks and that's not fair to the rest of us. Hope this helps.
