Subject:
wsu greek community vs. spam

Poster Message:
I just wanted to make a post clarifying how the majority of greek life feels about all the inflammatory spam posts that have been posted recently. I know a lot of incoming freshman check out GreekRank (even though it’s not a great source regardless of these creepy posts) and I don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea about our greek community here at wazzu. These posts (usually about politics, race, or government agencies) are created by one person who is not a part of greek life and may not even attend WSU anymore. You can identify them by the pattern of speech and the name (usually “Question” “Okay” and similar generic words). They are occasionally harmless but many include violent threats and hateful sentiments about specific races and religions. They’re clearly meant to be divisive and make people scared. Everyone has been doing a good job of ignoring them lately but I’ve noticed that the person has been creating multiple posts with different names and having debates with themselves and giving lots of likes to their posts. All that to say, greekrank is already stupid enough on it’s own, but these posts are especially concerning and unacceptable. WSU, in my experience, has been a very welcoming and open minded community that I’m so proud to be a part of ❤️ Hopefully this post doesn’t add fuel to the fire but I felt like this site needed someone to set the record straight. Co cougs!
