I don't know too much about fraternity recruitment, nonetheless informal fraternity recruitment, but if your Rho Chi said it was in September, then i'd just go with that. Or you can ask the houses you are interested in when informal is and see if you can get into any of their parties too so you can meet some of the guys. A really big mistake people make during recruitment is having their heart set on just one chapter, because they fall in love with that one and cast off the other chapters that may have been a good fit for them and end up getting dropped. So try and meet some guys in the house(s) you're interested in and then wait until September rolls around. Best of luck!
