If all sororities are allowed to take 40 girls, but one house could only get 35, then they can offer invitations at the last minute to girls who already may have been cut. They may have really liked you but had to limit their invites on day three etc. so they had to cut you...not because they didn't like you, but because they are limited in how many they can invite...etc...if you get a snap bid...take it if you want to be a Greek!
