Getting such a high number above quota most likely means that a lot of people choose not to take their bids to Sigma Kappa when the bids are offered. In other words, Sigma Kappa has terrible retention. 53 bids may have been offered, but I doubt 53 bids were taken and others may drop down the line so they won't be initiating 53 girls.
