Each sorority has its own GPA standard, which is typically higher for high school then college GPAs. While there is a national standard, there is also usually a local standard that is higher than the national one. For a college GPA this could be 3.4 or 3.39 or 3.355 or whatever they decide to set it at - there is no way of you knowing. IMO, the best way to see how you might fare with a particular sorority is to look at how your college GPA measures up against the quarterly all-house GPA. If you're talking high school GPA, there really is no way to compare.
