COB is a process used in order to meet capacity totals set for all chapters. So, however big or small formal fall recruitment MCs end up being, most houses will only have 1-3 spots open, if any at all, because capacity numbers are based on the whole house not just the new MC. Even though COB is a totally great process & definitely something to look into if you would like a more laid-back recruitment process, it does not at all guarantee you end up with your top choice or with a bid from a house at all.
