Subject:
Can we talk about Sigma Kappa?

Poster Message:
I heard this and I want to know if it's true or not? Pros: - Newer members seem to be super sweet and down to earth girls - They're smart girls who actually have goals and things they're doing in life; they don't just sit there and look pretty, but can't hold a real conversation the minute you try to talk to them Cons: - More of an older members issue, but a lot of the older members especially the ones still living there or were on exec power trip hard. Heard from a friend in the house about how rude the girls were especially during recruitment; they got screamed at, forced to recruit while sick/having lost their voice, and were threatened with thousand dollar fines for being even a minute late. They're just super disrespectful girls who seem to want to make the sorority an all-white "perfect happy sisterhood". Just super sad and toxic people, so thank goodness they've graduated/are graduating. Don't want these people representing the Greek system. - Biased recruitment; they're a bit better in this aspect than other sororities, but some girls will still judge you only on your appearance (how girly you dress, how pretty you are) and how outgoing you are (can you hold a conversation with them the whole time and not appear awkward). I've heard some rushees say they got straight-up ignored by the girl assigned to talk to them, and these rushees were usually women of color or bigger women... So... - Nasty nasty; heard horror stories about some of the hygiene issues (toilets clogged for weeks, people not flushing after #2, vomit-covered bathrooms, moldy showers/hair clogged showers, bare feet in the kitchen/dining hall, etc.)
