Three things wrong here. First, rankings are not this discrete. Any discernable difference between houses such as TKE and Pi Kappa is subjective. Tiers are less biased and more obvious. Second, while I like the idea of accounting for movement shifts in ranking, this fails to capture the increasing or decreasing rate at which these changes are occurring. This may appear insignificant but take Theta for example. Once the "premiere" house, they are now experiencing an accelerated rate of decrease based off their pledge classes and associations. On the other hand, Beta is decreasing at an increasing rate. They have been stained by recent events related to hazing but they have always had a strong presence in parties and association. They are making a come back. Finally, these ranks are retrospective in nature. No one can perfectly predict the performance of these houses moving into the New Years. While the past is the best predictor of the future, stark movements can occur, unexpectedly. Take, for example, Sigma Chi. They were similar to Theta in that rushing with them was a guaranteed social status boost. You would be guaranteed looks by any sorority girl and welcomed with renowned glamor at any event. But out of nowhere, just in the past year they have fallen. They are approaching mid tier as most experienced rankers here would agree, with reasons unbeknownst to most. To resolve these issues implicit to numbers, you should really just stick to tiers
