It can work out either way! The upside of doing COB is that you'll get to join a sorority now, but the downsides are that you'll have missed a lot of bonding experiences with your PC and there's a smaller selection of houses. However, I have plenty of friends that did COB and they absolutely love it. The girls in my PC that did COB are the same as us and stopped being "new" very quickly. FFR might be a good option if you want to start with your PC from the beginning and if you want to see a bunch of different houses. Whoever said that it's harder to rush as a Sophomore is mistaken! It may have been harder in the past but in an effort to have more diversity in the chapters, there's now a quota for upperclassmen so each house has to have a certain amount. I rushed as a Sophomore and I did not feel at all that it was harder, I got into my top house and was dropped by very few so I promise you'll be perfectly fine if you wait! However, sometimes it can feel a bit odd to be older than most of your PC (though this happens very, very rarely) and the upper PC that is the same age seems to feel weirdly competitive with the Sophomores in our PC but everyone only has love for each other at the end of the day. The choice is really up to you and both options are great! If you know what you are looking for in a house, COB might be the choice for you but if you're totally unsure, perhaps consider FFR.
