It's kind of common sense. If someone answers this honestly, they'll just get called superficial and mean, but that's kind of just the reality of dividing houses up into tiers. Personality is important, but it mostly comes down to looks, esp when it comes to the bottom tiers. Recruitment is really quick and by nature a superficial process. There's no way around it. Top/middle houses have the luxury of really choosing the girls they want to keep, and they cut girls who are awkward or slow to open up. And yeah, sadly girls who are just kind of unattractive, esp if those girls don't have a rad personality to make them stand out, end up in "bottom" houses. The system is a bit self-perpetuating, because if the houses who end up with kinda awkward and not as attractive girls try to recruit girls the next year, they're not going to magically get a lot of sociable, pretty girls. At the end of the day, most people don't really care that much about tiers, but almost everyone subconsciously buys into it at least a little bit whether they want to or not. You can focus on the pettiness of it, or you can just step back and be like, you know what, girls typically end up in houses with other girls like themselves. Whether that's a top, middle, or bottom house, let's hope that because they're with similar girls, they'll be happier and have an easier time making friends.
