Look, if the reason why you don't want to be in your sorority is because it's not "top" or cool enough, let me tell you that dropping and re-rushing next year or COBing will not get you into a higher tier sorority. These girls WANTED you. And I doubt that you would end up anywhere next fall to be honest, after accepting your bid. If the reason you don't want to be in it is because you don't like the rhythm of sorority life, don't like having to fulfill certain obligations of membership... then that's a good reason to drop. Girls won't give you a bid if they don't think you will fit in the house. I think you sound a little stubborn, but that's normal. You're leaving home for the first time (presumably) and everything is probably overwhelming right now. Just try to focus on class for now and keep an open mind until November. I want to emphasize though - even if you don't think this is the house for you, I really doubt you would get into another house next fall, except one of the very "bottom" tiered ones. Recruitment chairs and houses remember people that they've seen before.
