I also looked through this site before my formal fall recruitment started. I checked every day to see what everyone posted and being in a sorority for three years (I rushed as a sophmore with senior credits) so I was definitely worried about not getting selected into a house. Please don't worry and also don't look at this for your source of advice about formal fall recruitment (most of the girls I hung out with in my FFR group who sought "higher" houses received 3 houses after their first round and they ended up dropping recruitment because of it). Go to all the houses open minded and even if you're at a house that you mentally don't see yourself at (yes there will be prior judgements you'll have so I'm saying this), just practice talking with the sisters there and make them like you since it helps you practice for houses you want to be at and you'd rather be invited back to 8 houses compared to two houses for a round. Also the best way to start a conversation with a house, my tip would be look at their website and what events and activities they've done. I've recruited every year and all of my pref PNMs ended up being in my house and the reason why I liked them is because they knew my philanthropy/they were passionate about what interests them personally, AND they were confident in themselves by being genuinely them! Honestly be yourself!!! If I could do it, a middle class "senior", you can do it too :) Good luck and don't look at this page, go on a sorority's facebook page!
