Honestly stick with your gut instinct. Was really torn between two houses (one considered top and one considered middle) during preg day. I honestly just felt like (not trying to sound conceited) that the top one wanted me for my looks and did not get much deeper with me on my pref day. The chapter I joined on the other hand genuinely cared about me and made me feel at home. Looking back now, I know I made the right choice. I'd be miserable in the other house based on what some of my friends who joined have said about it. It just didn't have features that I needed in order to feel completely at home. You will find your perfect fit, regardless of the rank! Also UW is a huge school so you'll have fun regardless.
