That whole area of akl/phi psi/kdr has been a mess for like two years . Middle tier fraternities at vcu are neither here nor there, and always seem to be incredibly strong one semester and about to dissolve the next . Since 2016 AKL is still trying to recover from their best graduating , phi psi from the membership review and small pledge classes , and kdr from constantly getting in trouble/being newer . Like they're always going to keep bottom tier frats like lambda and sig chi from rising to mid because they snipe any good recruits that might go there, but it's really unlikely they'll get out of mid anytime soon with how they compete for pledges with each other and their top guys getting picked off by the higher tiers . Only time will tell I guess but it's hard to say anything will change anytime soon for them
