With one sorority gone (doesn’t matter what tier) it automatically makes every other sorority more competitive simply due to sheer numbers. People have been saying “it doesn’t matter because not many girls even accepted bids from pi phi anyway when they were around” but it still does make a difference because of the entire ranking and mutual selection process. Bottom line: pi phi closing doesn’t matter to ddd, kkg, etc. But, for PNMs, they now need to be very careful when they rank on day 1. If they eliminate XO/DG/AGD/KD/A PHI or any combo of those on the first day or two simply to be “top tier” and then by pref get dropped from the tops, there will be no fall back or no way to bring back a mid tier. Riskier for PNMs, but the sororitys like it because they can all be more selective and get girls they really like.
