lip sync this year is honestly ridiculous. there is no reason that a social media contest should factor into a chapter's overall lip sync score. sure, make it part of the philanthropy cup but it shouldn't affect what chapters place in the overall competition. also they are deducting points like crazy from chapters that always do well (for example phi mu somehow has negative points out of 40 and adpi has had like half their points deducted... both chapters who always perform strongly) and handing points out like crazy to chapters that haven't done so well in the past (chi o, pi phi, sigma kappa). literally the way this year has been handled has been so ridiculous and everything that is going on is basically just a set up so that chi o can have a boring dance as usual and somehow come out on top. everyone I've talked to doesn't even want to participate next year if this is how it is going to be... congrats jpan!! you killed lip sync
