My little sister just got deferred from UTK and is really excited about joining Greek life. She’s in-state and does well academically, but she’s not in the top 10% for auto-admit. I’m worried with enrollment numbers changing and more out-of-state students coming, it’s going to be harder for her and her friends to get into the top houses. I think we’ll need to be really selective during recruitment next year. I was in one of the 4 houses with a lot of out-of-state girls, so I’m scared to say anything, but I really want to help my sister navigate this.
