It is inconceivable to me why anybody would want to join SigEp the way its nationals currently operate. This is sad because SigEp has such a well known name and history. I’ve known a few friends and family members who joined SigEp at other colleges, and most of them have complained about all of these things and several have dropped as a result. In fact, the only person I know who enjoyed his time in SigEp (at another school) openly admitted that he loved it because it was "different" and not like other fraternities (specifically no pledging). And he's a great dude, just not a traditional fraternity kinda guy. But how can you advertise yourself as a social fraternity when you literally aren't allowed to any of the things that are the bread and butter of what being in Greek life is all about.
