Almost every big fraternity doesn’t really have a stereotype because they have well over 100 members. If you want to find the right fit, go and try to meet a couple guys from each fraternity or when you rush make it a point to visit every house your interested in. Focus on trying to have meaningful conversations with guys without seeming too weird. Because otherwise your going to have the same conversation 50 times. Where you from? What’s your major bs. Which doesn’t help anyone and just drives people towards larger and more popular houses. Another point is think about who is rushing a fraternity with you. As far as finding your closest friends, In my opinion, what fraternity you actually pick is less important than who you’re rushing with, your pledge brothers will be who you’re closest to, so even if you rushed a smaller fraternity that wasn’t exactly what you wanted it to be but had a good rush class 15-20+ for small ones then you could change their trajectory and as long as you rush with guys you like then you’ll be good. Good luck in finding the right fit. I love when any new person joins Greek life because UT is trying to slowly kill it.
