Is Greek membership down? That would tell us the level of overall interest. But, it may just be the marginal class of members who are dropping out. It may be that the future holds a smaller but more elite membership. Before Greek life can die, the activities that we joined for would have to be replaced elsewhere. And where is that? I’d consider another social organization if it had the same brotherhood and parties, but I don’t see that anything else is close. I’d accept a smaller and stronger Greek system.
