There are so many great houses at UT! Things have changed a lot and many houses that were not tops years ago are now viewed as such, DZ being one of them. To answer your question honestly, DZ is a top choice for lots of PNM's and pretty competitive to get into. They are a great chapter at UT, as are the others you mentioned. I can honestly say I know great girls in EVERY chapter. I applaud you for not wanting to hurt feelings, and I understand it can be awkward to ask friends in the chapter. Go in with an open mind and don't let others influence your decision. My friend was so wrapped up on pleasing her mother she joined a chapter she is not thrilled with.
