Do you girl

If you would like to be Greek, fall Rush is the time to do it. You're at a little more of a disadvantage of being a sophomore, but there's plenty of girls who rush as sophomores so it's not like we sit and go "ew sophomore definitely a no", usually it's that a girl rushing as a freshman will be in the chapter longer and therefore can offer a little more, but most of the time it's not a big determining factor. Not knowing anyone is a little more difficult to say it will be an ideal recruitment. If you're grades are good, you can carry a conversation and somehow stand out (i.e. Really nice & genuine, interesting (don't just talk about how you love Greys anatomy), well groomed & stylish) then you will do just fine. Clean up social media (no solo cups, wine glasses, bikini pics that scream needs attention) but make it public so sororities can look you up & may remember you. Girls who have their accounts on private are both smart but at a disadvantage because we like to stalk and see what you project to the world. I wouldn't wait any longer to join, since 18 year old freshman are a lot more emotionally & mentally immature than someone who has a year or two of college under their belt. Definitely give it a try and be open minded throughout it all. If you are genuinely happy to meet new actives each round & continue to be enthusiastic, most houses will notice. Good luck!
