Good afternoon gentlemen, I didn't participate in formal recruitment but I'm interested in getting an informal bid. As a new student at USF without his high school friends, I'm looking to join a fraternity with a membership that consists of men from mostly upper middle-class, upper class households. I know this sounds snobby and materialistic, but I just feel more comfortable being around people who are like me. I'm a humble man and I don't brag about my parent's wealth so I felt very uncomfortable asking this question in person so I decided not to participate in rush. I'm aware this sounds very snobby and materialistic but these are things I value along with with brotherhood. I'm sure some of you can understand as you may joined your chapter because their success in intramurals, had very good GPAs, or even their skin color if you're in a UGC fraternity. I've come here very seriously on this site so I can remain anonymous and would gladly appreciate some advice.
