Sounds an awful lot like you aren't just wondering... but stating you don't think it's worth it. I doubt you don't stop to think at how those nights in the cold pool were bonding, working toward a common goal, excited to win and proud to go kill it. Or that the thrill of chanting as a big group when we win it and fundraiser the most are someones favorite memories. Walking back to Greek with wet, dripping hair with my new best friends freshman year and feeling like I was such a part of something, when summer semester was so lonely and hard and new. Like gymnastics conditioning in high school- pushing myself to be better but making crazy friendships while I do it. Having people hold me accountable for taking care of myself and wanting to be a better person emotionally, physically, academically. I'm a tough girl and maybe top tier requires you to be a tough, to buckle down and work hard and play harder. Maybe that doesn't fit you and that's fine but do not put my org down, one I cherish. (just like my g, and gg-big who graduated and still love my sorority) No one forces anything but you have to push to be the best, it's work, if it wasn't everyone would be top. If success was easy wouldn't everyone do it? Maybe you dont think that way or want that - but thats why I'm in my sorority and it is top and you are in yours and it is not. We are allowed to be different, want different things and attract different girls. Stop forcing the snowflake PC thing on everyone and let us be.
