Heres the thing about tiers, I'll use sororities as the example here: I have a friend who is in a sorority at usf. She is beautiful, smart and friendly, but she doesn’t like to party. So when looking at sororities on campus, there are several “top tier” chapters that are pretty and are considered the ‘best’ by the frats. But they love to party, so they weren't a good match for my friend. I would recommend other sororities for her individual personality. She will probably join a middle to bottom tier chapter. You can be pretty and be in middle or bottom houses. This is why I don't like tiers, you can't compare houses because they are all different in what they value.
