First, that Bid Day motif has been in use all over the country by both Local and National sororities for at least six years. I've seen pictures. ALL sororities use similar/the same Bid Day motif ideas, look around. Both videos mentioned above had Bid Days within three days (September 13 and 16) of one another. Bid Day planning takes shape MONTHS before Bid Day occurs, thereby both orgs simultaneously chose their identical motif without the other knowing. Its strictly coincidence they have similar names, and Whitewater's Alpha Sigma was founded in 1898 compared with Alpha Sigma Alpha's founding in 1901. Other orgs around the country WITH AND WITHOUT Bid Day Videos used the exact motif for THEIR Bid Days this Fall, too. A good idea gets around! BTW that video from another campus was Gamma Omega chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha at Eastern ILLINOIS University, and their chants are similar but not the same.
