Greek Life has been growing every year for the last few years. They are adding another sorority next year, added a new fraternity this year, and students (especially girls) are participating in record numbers. Some people like to bash other chapters just to make themselves ranked higher- pretty lame. All the sororities have well over 100 members, so all of them are doing at least something right to keep that many people involved. Fraternities usually run into more issues, but the ones in good standing are doing just fine. Greek life gives those who are involved a sense of community on a campus where the social scene can be very bleak at times. (Think back to first semester freshman year) Without Greek life, including those chapters that people like to hate on for whatever reason, USD would have lower retention rates, a lower campus GPA, less alumni giving, and USD would not be the wonderful place it is.
