Subject:
some important tips for pnms...

Poster Message:
1. REMEMBER that the ultimate goal is to find a sisterhood. FOR YOU. Rankings and "tiers" are childish. Rankings and tiers won't give you future bridesmaids and lifelong friends. They won't provide you the women that will be there for you on your worst days as well as your best. When you take away the shimmer and hype of recruitment, what's left are the people. They matter more than gossip and rumors and silly college social hierarchies. 2. Keep careful notes of your experiences, as someone else suggested! It'll help you keep track of everything, especially when pref rolls around... 3. Be a good listener. Try not to dominate the conversations, and ask questions! People love to talk about themselves. ;) Of course, ideally things should flow and feel natural, but if they don't, don't write off the entire chapter. 4. PLEASE please please please don't be ever rude to the sisters. It happens every semester without fail. The sisters are nervous too. Be polite and gracious, even if you think this chapter isn't for you. They will appreciate it more than you can imagine. 5. ASK QUESTIONS. Show interest! If you're excited to be there, say so. You don't have to be overenthusiastic, but demonstrate your interest in them by asking about their events, sisterhood, philanthropy, etc. 6. DON'T GIVE UP. Seriously. You will get cut. It's going to hurt. It happens to everyone. You are strong, you can do it! Remember the end goal is not to go XYZ, it's to be Greek. That is invaluable.
