Don't do it

Subject:
do not join pitt greek life

Poster Message:
As a member of Greek life I cannot stress how much you do not need to join this community. Sororities and fraternities are meant to bring people up, do service for the greater good, and to gain many valuable experiences and skills, Pitt Greek life is the complete opposite. The majority of Greek life at Pitt is filled with shallow, rude, uninspiring people who think the world is as big as the Oakland bubble. You do not need Greek life to enjoy college. Find other organizations that inspire you and challenge you. Pitt Greek life needs a reality check, it needs to fall on its face, because it honestly the biggest joke on campus. Members of their organization do not truly respect or know what it means to wear their letters with pride. Instead it is a bunch of snobby wash-ups attempting to relive their high school glory days. The members that joined hoping for a real brotherhood or sisterhood have been gypped. This community is the most ingenue group of people on campus. Instead of caring about their philanthropies they care about what organizations didn't attend their event or make a donation. Instead of having a strong sisterhood of brotherhood they are concerned as to what other organizations think of them. Instead of caring about the well being of the members of the community, they are about how many likes they have on Instagram. This being said, the few members that are sincere make sticking with it worth it, but are better than the majority.
