upset rushee - I know of one glitch in the computer system where my friend didn't get asked back to a house she really wanted, even though she found out that they invited her back. Again, we can't know for sure if they actually did invite her back, but I'm pretty sure they did. However, no one could do anything about it because of the rush rules about no rushee contact with sisters during rush. Also, I don't think recs are required at all. Some sororities take it into account more than others, but usually the girl has to hit it off with the sorority in the first place. Recs can't hurt, though. I have another friend that had a really good rec for a certain sorority but she didn't get it (then again, I don't think that sorority was one of her favorites so she might not have pref'd them).
