<strong>Subject:</strong><br />fraternity movement<br /><br /> Poster Message:
In continuing the trend of discussing how houses have performed recently over bothering with the always disputed tier rankings, I thought I'd take a stab at what fraternities have really improved over the past couple years, what fraternities have stayed the same in quality, and what houses have been falling recently. The lists below is in no particular order of how I think rankings should be: Rising Houses- Beta, Sammy, Delta Sig, FIJI, Alpha Sig, DU (maybe) All of these fraternities got good pledge classes (for where they've been in the past) and have been raising the number and quality of sororities they're mixing with. FIJI got a mixer with DG that they refuse to shut up about on here, Sammy and DZ mix constantly, Beta mixed with Pi Phi a little (can't confirm, but heard they did), Delta Sig mixed with Zeta, and DU even managed a progressive with DZ. All have thrown decent parties in the past year (contest the term "decent" if you want, but this statement is accurate to me based on my definition of it). DU and Alpha Sig are by far the most questionable of these frats; however, I think DU's 25 person pledge class and recent mixer with DZ are good signs on their part, and while Alpha Sig is on 14th they grabbed a really solid PC that's looking to improve their reputation. It's also probably worth noting that the first four houses cross-rush quality guys every year.
