<strong>Subject:</strong><br />What rankings really mean<br /><br /> Poster Message:
I realize a lot of you first years are absolutely clueless about rush so I'm going to break down what rankings actually mean: top/upper frats: mostly classic prep school dudes with a sprinkle of internationals -fit the prep school stereotypes srats: similar to upper tier frats upper mid frats: stereotypical frat guys, good connections with top crowd srats: pretty much the same but competitive with each other -get into fights on greekrank all the time fake upper mid frats: greekrank tier list makers, mainly mix with mid sororities, care about image, great houses, certain types of girls go nuts for these frats -tend to bid heavy srats: try to mix with actual upper mid frats hard and to distinguish themselves from the mid srats -slightly better doorlists than the rest of mid mid frats: heavy emphasis on brotherhood, mainly mix with mid sororities, social guys but not in a need mixer on calendar way -decent number of these guys have close friends in top/upper frats and srats but just kinda vibe in midland srats: includes pretty much every srat. if you rush, you will probably land here if you can hold a conversation and/or are pretty lower mid frats: arguably solid guys. could be mid if they were more social or had better reps/social calendars srats: girls that either couldn't get a mid srat bid or chose 'sisterhood' (doesn't exist btw) bottom frats: decent guys, but not-so-decent reps (in the greek scene). social calendars aren't really there -if this is your fit, they'll be great guys to hang with and you won't have to worry about dealing with women srats: the ones left without bids elsewhere -it's pretty hard for them to be selective because of srat quotas and most girls dropping instead of accepting their bids general rush tips: frats: be optimistic and find your crew -don't get totally wasted srats: be interesting and conversational, act/dress right -try not to give any sister the ick (if that's even possible) remember, these are just generalizations, and the right fit for you may differ from these categorizations. best of luck with rush!
