While Alpha Phi may have been established at the same time as DG, their Nationals closed the chapter in 2000 and made all the girls go Alum because they didn't think the current girls were pretty enough or cool enough. They immediately recolonized and brought in the girls they thought were "their" type. Alpha Phi's National is not respected at all by the other NPC groups because it has become quite clear that they don't conduct "Values Based" Recruitment, which is a shared value for all NPC groups. For Alpha Phi Nationals it's just about how pretty you are, no personality needed. No brains needed. So, while they may have been chartered the same time as DG, their current incarnation has only been around since 2000 and they can't be compared to DG.
