<strong>Subject:</strong><br />PNM’s, some advice <br /><br /> Poster Message:
story time. Before coming into rush and till about the 2nd or 3rd day, I had no clue greekrank existed. My perception of the houses was based on girls I knew and overall soon to be soured positivity is what I wish everyone still had when coming into rush. Most of the girls I knew and formed friendships with were all entirely in “lower” and “middle” tiers. I was nervous before going into many ‘low’ sorority houses because those were the girls I wanted to impress because I knew them personally. Then I got onto Greekrank, which is 99% used by upper tier sorority girls still desperate for toxic tradition and top tier frat boys who were just trolls. My entire positive perception of the houses was ruined. I made my preferences in order based on greekrank and it was the worst decision ever. Just don’t do what I did. If you did happen to be on this site before rush, just please know 99.9% of uva is not going to have any preconceived perception of you at all when you say you’re in xyz unless it’s one known for wealth and money (and do you want that?). And if you’re still set on the idea of an arbitrary caste system of sororities, then instead of brushing the mid and lower tiers aside (if you form genuine connections with the girls) consider it an opportunity to better that chapter by joining and making amazing friends along the way. Good luck
