Why not try free market competition? If sororities were not held back by restrictive recruitment rules, aggressive and ambitious chapters could increase their membership as much as they want. Unambitious groups that lack confidence and feel they have nothing to offer will naturally die out and healthier ones will take their place. Under that model the entire sorority system here would grow and strengthen. Other nationals would compete to come here. The truth is, the sororities here that are weak now have always been the weak ones. If Panhellenic recruitment restrictions could help those weak chapters, they already would have. Turn loose the competitive spirit.
