It is objective like the rankings for colleges. I’m sure some would consider uva the top public university and some would rank cal or Michigan higher. It is objective for the most part but popularity is what determines ranks. Also, ranking never really changes much. The bottom really stays the bottom and mid and top keep their places. Even my mom that graduated decades ago is able to know tiers still. They really don’t change. Most rank is how fratty or sororityty you are and how cool you are. Just like their were cool kids in high school
