this is an ANONYMOUS site. people who are threatened by other sororitys/frats use it to bring other people down. you are all smart enough to be students at UVA—be better than the people who spend their nights (or sometimes at 3AM) writing negative comments about others... make your own adult decisions, and not one written by someone with an agenda. i mean, the person who spends their free time “rating” different organizations online and writing rude comments is not the person you should probably make $1000-$2000 decisions from. you’re gonna have fun and go to parties and date functions regardless. choose the people who YOU have the most fun with and who YOU feel the most genuine connection to. not the people who insist on separating people into “tiers.” your real friends will be people who don’t care what sorority or frat you’re in, no matter if you’re in two different ones or non-affiliated. and if they DO care about that... they’ve got a ton of issues with their self-esteem that you’ll be better off not being dragged down by. (let’s be honest, UVA’s tier system is only based on wealth and where you’re from anyway—you are no lesser than anyone else from these superficial constructs that are only the result of going to a school obsessed with tradition. this is a stressful week only if you are concerned with these anonymous, superficial comments. have fun—you don’t get a second chance to do college—so make the first time count and lead you to people you can COUNT ON)
