Hate to put it like this, but don't assume you're joining APhi if you haven't even rushed yet (or any sorority/frat for that matter). Rush can really change people's perspectives on where they originally saw themselves at. Moreso, NOBODY should choose a frat/sorority because it mixes with another / because your SO wants you to. You should do what's best for you, and he should do what's best for him. Mixing isn't a huge deal and you can take each other to date functions anyways. Maybe give him some testosterone pills for the masculinity issue. Some relationship advice: play duos with him. It gets fun.
