OP is right...certain sororities ARE perceived as better. If you try to social climb especially at UVA you might end up dropping. I know A LOT of girls that joined a sorority based on tier to try and be more "popular" or at least be PERCIEVED that way by people at UVA except they definitely did not end up fitting into their sorority.....whether it be because they didn't fit in because of their wealth or just their personality when those things started to show more
