That's too bad. Don't give up yet though- try informal in the fall- it's not too late - sometimes with girls studying abroad and other reasons, there may be bids available in the fall. Try to stay in touch with the people you did meet. Also, look at it this way- it will be one less year of dues if you do join in the fall.
