Interesting stuff. So the "80's" was not a good time for sororities, while most of the "top" sororities came on just a few years earlier in the 70's. And, the earliest sororities XO, KD and Zeta had to overcome the stereotype of being "teacher's" sororities. I wonder what the enrollment of women students was back in the 80's? Maybe, it was just too much, too soon? I think the current enrollment of women students is 53% of the student body, so there are now over 7,000 women as opposed to maybe 3,000 then. Just guessing. UVA definitely needs more sororities!
