To all pnms hoping to rush in the spring, please do not let this website be a reflection of uva's greek life. nothing is more pathetic than googling uva greek life and having this website be one of the first results. so sad that uva is campaigning against all kinds of hate on grounds yet online people continue to bash their fellow classmates. the people who write hateful comments on this site do not reflect on the majority of those in greek life and is honestly the reason so many people drop during rush. according to this website, each sorority has some "bad" reputation or reason begging you not to join. as a greek life member, i can assure you that every chapter has its benefits, has a good sisterhood, and is a potential home for you. nothing is more sad than hearing girls who dropped rush because of the reputations of the sororities she had left on her schedule rather than her just not feeling at home with them. each chapter is full of amazing, powerful women and take every negative comment on here with a grain of salt. no sorority is "falling" or "rising", everyone parties and has mixers, and you should be paying attention instead to real life connections with these girls you know or during rush rather than what some angry person spewed out online (chances are its a jealous friend, ex, or boy who didn't get what he wanted from a girl). ranks here are ridiculous and based on money and tradition (and almost everyone at uva is wealthy, smart, pretty, or a combination of these) so for the love of god just do not let this website wbe a reflection of the real world
